1,000 Books Before Kindergarten is a reading challenge for parents with their young children. The concept is simple, the rewards are priceless. Read a book (any book) to your newborn, infant, and/or toddler. The goal is to have read 1,000 books (yes, you can repeat books) before your precious one starts kindergarten. When a child has reached their 1,000 book goal they can have their picture taken at the library. The library will provide a cap, gown, and diploma for this event. Their picture will be displayed in the children’s room!
To join the challenge and log your activity, visit Beanstack or download the Beanstack app. You can also request a paper copy to track your activity in the Children’s Room at the library.
