Children’s Programming
Storytime
Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m.
Best for ages 0-5 and their caregivers, but all children are welcome
Each week we have lots of fun with our friends at storytime! Come join us for some stories, songs, and activities each week in the Children’s Room! A snack and craft are also provided!
Knowledge Quest
Wednesdays from 3:15-4:45 p.m. (September-April)
For ages 7-13
Join us on a quest for knowledge! Each month questers can explore five different activities! Each quester will receive an activity tracker, and after completing/trying one of the activities, the Youth Services Librarian will place a stamp next to that activity. If questers try all five activities within the month, they will receive a prize!
Family Reading Night
First Monday of the Month @ 5:30 PM (November-March)
All Ages
Families are invited to come in each month to hear stories, do fun activities, and finish off with a craft, snack, and free book provided by the Carterville Lions Club! The Lions Club also provides free vision screenings to those who want them.
Summer Reading
All ages
Check back in May of 2026! Register online at awlindsey.beanstack.com and come to the library to pick up a fun bag!
Log books from June to July to earn prizes. Look for book clubs, passive activities, and a wide variety of fun events as we read through the summer!
