100 Books Before Graduation is a reading initiative to read 100 (young adult, adult, or Classic) books before high school graduation. It is for 7th graders to graduating seniors.

Those participating must read the title in it’s entirety before logging and writing a review, with NO backlogging – meaning you cannot record titles you have already read, unless you re-read them!

We will have periodic drawings for prizes such as gift cards, crafts, bags, signed books, library swag, and more! All you have to do is read and record at least one book per month to be entered.

Those who complete the challenge will receive a certificate, a gift card worth $50 to the place of their choosing, and their name on a sign in the Young Adult room.

See Katie, the Teen Librarian, in the Teen Room or email kpersinger@awlindsey.com for more information.

Why complete the challenge?

Reading for pleasure is proven to improve test results, alleviate boredom, improve reading comprehension skills – plus it gives you an advantage on required readings for college!

To complete the challenge: choose titles from the 100 Books Before Graduation Book Recommendations list. This can be found on Beanstack, or by following this link.

Log each title, and write a short review for each book you read, including a basic 2-3 sentence plot summary and your opinion of the book. Earn prizes along the way!
